Top pick: #7 (TAKES THE GOLD) - Heavily bet in his debut at Saratoga he showed excellent early speed before he was passed by "Currency Swap" who won easily and went on to win the $250K Hopeful Stakes (G1) on Labor Day. This colt has a trio of fast works since and is the horse to beat. He's one of a pair entered by trainer Rick Dutrow and they'll race uncoupled.
2nd pick: #4 (Odom) - The second of the Dutrow pair made up a bit of ground in his debut at Saratoga on August 13 and appears to have worked in company with "Gold" eight days ago. No match for that one that morning, but it's of note that Garret Gomez is aboard for this stretch-out attempt. "Live" price play.
3rd pick: #2 (Saint Honore) - Longshot has the rail and did some late running in his debut at Saratoga. Working fast for this and he should improve on the stretch-out.
