Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (GHOST GIANT) (5-1) - Price play stretches out in distance in his first facing winners. He was a sharp maiden winner going 5.5 furlongs on the Saratoga turf Aug. 1 and has been much improved since switching to the grass two starts back for his new trainer (Jorge Abreu). Nicely spotted and I like his chances.
2nd pick: #4 (Outrageous Bet) (5-2) - Veteran missed by a 'head' at this level going 5.5 furlongs at Saratoga Aug. 19. Stretch runner has won here in the past and it came at this distance. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #7 (River Knight) (20-1) - Longshot has the best early speed and has been competitive facing tougher fields than this in the past. He skipped the meet at Saratoga and enters off a fine half-mile breeze here Aug. 25.
4th pick: #3 (Not So Quiet Man) (3-1) - He had a rough trip when finishing 3.5 lengths in back of 'Outrageous Bet' going shorter Aug. 19 at Saratoga. Very sharp in his previous pair at Monmouth, he must be left in the mix.
