It was his first start since Aug. 6 at Saratoga and he defeated a pair of today's rivals in the process. One run type draws a good post, he worked May 12, and 4yo will be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #8 (Forward Motion) (7-2) - Very lightly-raced 3-year-old is facing winners for the first time. Broman home bred broke his maiden here at this distance on the grass April 18 in his first since Dec. 22. Grey gelding has plenty of room for upside and is dangerous today.
3rd pick: #4 (Looking Ready) (4-1) - NEW gelding has been idle since Jan. 18 and that start came following a 2.5 month break. Working fast locally, he finished close up in a pair of stakes here last fall facing much tougher 'open' G3 runners. Win candidate.
4th pick: #7 (Ethan Hunt) (6-1) - Veteran finished fourth here April 29 and he was only a bit more than a length behind 'Shiraz'. It was his first ever on the grass, a positive effort, and Luis Saez is replacing Trevor McCarthy.
