Premium Pick

Top pick: #4 (FIVE STAR MOMMA) (8-1) - Longshot was stakes-placed early in her career, but since then her performance line has been highlighted by both some solid efforts and several layoffs. She runs today third back off a seven month layoff and a trainer change to Jena Antonucci. Daughter of "Five Star Day" worked a very quick "bullet" half-mile here on May 30th and can take this at a square price.

2nd pick: #7 (Baby J) (5-1) - Lightly-raced filly is fast from the gate and was a gate-to-wire winner here on a sloppy surface on May 8th when facing weaker. Race was her first since last fall and first off a private trainer change to Pat Reynolds. New man is having a strong meet after being away from the game for several years and was the original trainer of Derby and Preakness winner "Big Brown." This 3-year-old is a win candidate in this spot.

3rd pick: #3 (Moment in Dixie) (9-5) - Lightly-raced and well-bred, filly is working both fast and frequently for her first start since Nov. 2. She's 2-for-2 locally, is stakes-placed, and a major factor if ready for her best.

4th pick: #5 (Heir to Dare) (6-1) - Consistent mare (8-2-4-2) is another returning from a lengthy layoff (11 months) and is working fast locally for this comebacker. Five-year-old has won here before and trainer Mike Mariena runs a great small barn.
