Top pick: #4 (WEEKEND HIDEAWAY) (5-2) - Consistent sort has the best overall dirt form, and is bred to like the turf which he'll be trying for the first time. Stakes winner has a stalking style, has beaten better on the main track, and takes this if he handles the new footing.

2nd pick: #3 (Bernie the Jet) (7-2) - He was a sharp winner here on this surface at this distance when winning an allowance on May 1, then raced very wide last out in the (G3) "Hill Prince" stakes going a mile. He's worked since, and is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #2 (Skylander) (5-1) - The main speed, trainer Wesley Ward has freshened him up since he defeated weaker going six furlongs on the Keeneland "poly" on April 19. He's won sprinting on the grass in the past, and he had a bullet five furlong drill in Kentucky on June 3 before heading east.

4th pick: #1 (Spiral Stair) (8-1) - Lightly raced geldings takes a big step up after getting his maiden win here at this distance May 17. Race was run in very fast time, and he's in a barn (Jimmy Toner) that specializes in turf races.
