A stakes winner sprinting on the Saratoga turf as a 2-year-old, she just missed April 15 at Aqueduct in a $100K grass sprint. She tired badly on a sloppy surface in her follow up here May 19 a G3 stakes that was taken 'off the turf'. Back on the grass, she'll be tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #2 (Eloweasle) (9-2) - Mare is racing third back following a 5 month layoff and should be at her best. One-run type fits at the level and distance and it's a plus that Irad Ortiz Jr stays aboard.
3rd pick: #7 (Kundray) (6-1) - Talented mare seemed on her way into stakes during the summer of 2016 but was injured and returns to action off a very long layoff (21 months). Training steadily, she's been sharp in all 6 turf starts but they all came going longer. She may need a race before being at her best.
4th pick: #6 (Sandy Belle) (12-1) - Very fast from the gate, she's working fast for her first back following a pair of layoffs. Long shot catches a field without a lot of other visible early pace and that gives her a chance at a big price.
