2nd pick: #9 (News Anchor) (6-1) - Longshot tired late to finish fourth here while 2.5 lengths in back of 'Mr Massena' going a mile at this level June 9. It was his first start since Aug 19 and he should be much fitter for this 9 furlong event.
3rd pick: #3 (National Honor) (7-2) - 4yo ships up from Maryland where he won going a mile at Laurel facing 'open' optional-$25K claimers/SAL$25 foes May 27. It was his first since March 23 and he went 3-1-1-1 this past winter in Florida. In shape, he fits with these, and he was competitive here in his only previous local attempt.
4th pick: #1 (El Hermano) (6-1) - A lightly raced 3yo, he broke his maiden here at this distance June 2. Only his third start, it was his first on the grass and made him the only one entered with a win at this 9 furlong trip. He has a ground saving post, plenty of room for upside, and is in the mix at a square price.
