Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (CAPE BLANCO) - Irish-bred son of the talented "Galileo" is 8-for-14 overall and has banked a cool $3.55M, which is just a bit more than the rest of the field combined. Four-year-old has won both North American starts, the G1 Man O'War on this surface July 9, and the G1 Arlington Million August 13. He's beaten much better fields than this both here and in Europe and loks very tough to defeat in this spot.

2nd pick: #3 (Dean's Kitten) - Four-year-old colt by "Kitten's Joy" comes off the best race of his career when he finished third in the Arlingto Million, just under three lengths back of "Blanco". Has fine positional speed and he's won on this surcae in the past.

3rd pick: #5 (Winchester) - He rallied from far behind on a "yielding" coure here last fall to win this important stakes and has been lightly raced since. Veteran has been sharp in both 2011 starts, including a win in the G1 Sword Dancer at Saratoga on August 13. In fine shape and a stretch threat again this afternoon.
