As recently as this past March he finished 2nd in a G3 sprint at Aqueduct and still think he has enough left in the tank to win this.
2nd pick: #1 (Aristocratic) (3-1) - The main speed, he's moving up in class in his first off an A.C.Avila claim. 5yo was an easy gate-to-wire winner for a $20K win here going 6.5 furlongs Sept. 21. He has the rail, and is a threat right back and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Coltandmississippi) (5-1) - He's switching back to the dirt in his third start back following a two month freshening. One-run type has won three of five on the main track at this trip in the past and draws a fine outside post. He's a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #3 (Heavy Roller) (7-2) - Strong finisher rallied to miss by a 'nose' going 8.5 furlongs for $25K price tag. Most all of his success has come at longer distances and he'll need a fast/and or contested pace for any shot at winning this.
