Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (NUTMEGCUVEEROYALE) - He looked very sharp early in this meet when he went wire-to-wire to break his maiden on this surface and trainer Linda Rice has given him a bit of time off since. He's working fast for his first facing winners and will be very tough if he repeats his last performance. He's one of three entered here by Rice and they all run as separate interests.

2nd pick: #7 (Iron Lou) - Lightly raced and speedy, trainer Rick Dutrow will move this gelding by "Grand Slam" to the turf for the first time. He tired badly at this condition going a mile on May 15th, but in his previous start was a sharp maiden winner on the dirt at this distance. His speed makes him dangerous.

3rd pick: #1 (Power Blast) - Another trained by Rice and this 4-year-old finished a solid second at this level and distance May 5th in his first start since late Sept. of 2009. Working fine since and a major player in this spot.

4th pick: #2 (Isn'tlovejustgrand) - Not a win threat but this colt has clearly improved since trainer Joe Aquilino moved him to the grass in his last two starts. He defeated $25K "open" maiden at this trip May 30th in his best effort to date and could land in the same race exotic bets at a big price.
