Trainer Todd Pletcher wins at a 27% rate second time out and I give this filly a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Sea of Blue Entry) (5-1) - This filly is part of a Godolphin owned entry with #2b-'Alms'. She raced wide when debuting at this distance on the Saratoga dirt Aug. 25. She's worked fast twice since for Kiaran Mclaughlin, 22% second time out and he switches her the grass. Her barn-mate 'Alms' is a first-time-starter by 'City Zip' who has been working fast at Fair Hill for Mike Stidham, 15% with debuting stock in 2018-19.
3rd pick: #9 (Moral Reasoning) (7-2) - One of a pair of debuting fillies from Chad Brown and they race as separate betting interests. This $220,000 daughter of 'More Than Ready' has a solid series of works showing for Brown, 20% first out since Jan. 1 of 2018. It's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard.
4th pick: #3 (One Mississippi) (9-2) - The other from the barn of Chad Brown, she's also by 'More Than Ready' and she sold for $360,000. Grey filly has a alf-dozen works on view, including a near bullet half-mile here Sept. 12. She draws a tough inside post first out in a large field, but an alert break can make her a threat.
