Top pick: #2 (MAMA ZEE) (3-1) - Filly was in career best form this past spring and comes off a solid second-place finish on July 30th at Saratoga. She has the rail, fine early speed, and is running first off a Bruce Brown claim. Gets a slight edge in a competitive contest.

2nd pick: #1 (Bobby Jo) (2-1) - Veteran mare won two in a row at Saratoga and stalker is racing today first off a Dave Jacobson claim (25%). She has some back class, fits well with these, and has been competitive on this deeper surface in the past without winning 4-0-2-1.

3rd pick: #6 (Darnley Bay) (7-2) - Consistent sort has been claimed an incredible seven times in 2014 and has gone 9-2-4-1 overall. Stalker is cutting back in distance in her first for trainer Dave Cannizzo (18% off the claim) and mare likes it here at Belmont 7-1-3-2. In the mix.

4th pick: #3 (In Kelly's Defense) (5-1) - Filly is racing off a two month layoff and first time for trainer Chris Englehart (a 20% winning angle). She has a fine record on the dirt 13-3-4-3 but is a bit lite with her best figures. A small slice may be her ceiling.
