3rd pick: #4 (Escape Velocity) (3-1) - Lightly raced gelding rallied to win his debut Feb. 11 at Gulfstream Park. He did not have the best of trips, but still managed to score by a 'nose' over today's rival 'Hieroglyphics.' Working nicely at Saratoga, this 3yo is in the barn of Chad Brown.
4th pick: #3 (Hieroglyphics) (4-1) - As mentioned right above, this colt was beaten a 'nose' by 'Escape Velocity' Feb. 11 at Gulfstream. Sharp in three starts since then, he broke his maiden there at this distance May 27. In the Pletcher barn, this $450,000 purchase must be left in the mix.
