Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (FREAKY STYLEY) (8-5) - He's rallied from far back to finish second in his first two starts both traveling 7 furlongs at Saratoga. A home bred by 'Scat Daddy', he's worked five times since his latest and is meeting a pretty weak looking group in this attempt. I give him top billing.
2nd pick: #7 (Seven Is Heaven) (4-1) - Improving gelding has finished third in two straight at this level, the latest coming here at 6 furlongs Sept. 29. He moves off the rail, draws well, and the additional 1/2 furlong of this contest should be to his liking.
3rd pick: #1 (Hot Brown) (7-2) - One of two entered by trainer Charlton Baker and the pair race uncoupled. A home bred by 'Big Brown', he showed good early sped debuting here Sept. 29 and held gamely to finish second, a bit under a length in front of 'Seven is Heaven'. Gelding has worked twice since, has the rail, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #2 (Moonlight Now) (10-1) - The second of the pair from Charlton Baker, this home bred by 'Tiznow' is moving back to the dirt while cutting back in distance. He raced evenly in a one mile grass race Sept. 18 against a strong group and enters this dirt sprint off a pair of very sharp recent works.
