Top pick: #6 (DISTORTED DREAM) (5-2) - Gelding takes the big drop into claiming land for the first time and will be racing second back from a 3 1/2 month layoff. Once promising gelding by "Distorted Humor" is working fast for this and will be very tough against this field.
2nd pick: #4 (Catholic Cowboy) (6-1) - Colt ran fourth at Saratoga on July 26th, going 7 furlongs for a $50K tag in what was a career best. Trainer Nick Zito has him working very fast for this, drops him to a new low, and Florida-bred is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Rap D'Oro) (4-1) - Gelding by "Medaglia d'Oro" has been in poor foorm lately and trainer Mike Hushion will drop him back down and shorten him up in distance. No-speed type should make his presence felt during the stretch run.
4th pick: #3 (Snifter) (7-2) - Son of "Bernardini" sold for $875K as a yearling and will be racing for a $35K tag this afternoon. Colt runs for the first time since debuting in early Nov. and he raced evenly that day in a race won by the talented "Normandy Beach." Working well for trainer Todd Pletcher and a threat at this level.
