Premium Pick

Top pick: #9 (GRIDIRON GREAT) (3-1) - Veteran NYRA trainer Barclay Tagg always does well at this meet and had several run well (including a stakes winner a Sunday) since coming north from his winter base at Gulfatream. This lightly-raced gelding drops slightly after finishing fourth in Florida on March 17th. 3-year-old had some traffic issues that day and can take this with a "clean" trip.

2nd pick: #8 (Make It Gold) (7-2) - He also ships in from Gulfstream where he raced both wide and evenly on March 30th when facing special-weight foes. The race was his best to date and came first off a Jay Servis claim. Drops back down and is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #7 (Boogie Too) (6-1) - He's been competitive in all three starts this year since returning from a fourth month layoff in early Jan. He has more speed than most and should be involved from start-to-finish.

4th pick: #1 (Inmyfathersimage) (10-1) - Longshot ran evenly when facing tougher on April 18th in his first off a 70-day freshening and first ever on the grass. Drops down and think this son of "Curlin" is a threat.
