It was her first ever in a claimer and her first back following a 7 week freshening. Stalker gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Kickin Kimberly) (4-1) - Filly finished third last out while a 'head' in front of 'Jasmine's Gem'. It was her second start back off a 5.5 month layoff, a career best, and Irad Ortiz is back aboard following a one race absence.
3rd pick: #5 (Secret Quality) (5-2) - Nice debut saw her race close up before rallying to finish second, a 1/2 length better than both 'Kickin Kimberly' and 'Jasmine's Gem'. Her trainer (Chris Clement) wins at a 22% rate second time out and this $155,000 purchase is an obvious contender and the probable favorite.
4th pick: #8 (Lil Mave) (6-1) - Stretch runner has been competitive in all three races when in for a claiming tag. She should like this longer distance, but will need some pace help for anything more than a minor award.
