Home-bred is working well locally and Mott will drop her into a high-priced claimer for the first time. Three-year-old is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1a (Frothy Market) - Filly races coupled in the wagering with No. 1 "Inflation Hedge" and both have a shot with their best efforts. Trainer Bruce Brown has freshened this filly up since she had a bit of a troubled trip racing on the main track at Keeneland Apr. 20th. Drops into a claimer, moves back to the grass, and stretches out to a mile for the first time. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Inflation Hedge) - Coupled with Frothy Market in the betting, her best race came at Gulfstream in early Feb when she defeated "Silver Screamer" by a nose. $325K daughter of "Badge of Silver" has only raced once since then and it was a rather poor effort Apr. 2 in Florida. Needs to step it up and she's another dropping into a claimer for the first time.
4th pick: #8 (Miss Mexique) - Daughter of "Lemon Drop Kid" raced evenly here in a sprint facing special weights in mid-May and trainer Linda Rice will stretch her out in distance and drop her in for a tag. Draws a nice post for this trip and must be left in the mix.
