2nd pick: #5 (Quietude) (12-1) - Longshot was away slowly and was never involved when debuting at this distance in an 'off the turf' contest Aug. 9 at Saratoga. $130K purchase is bred for the grass, and both Lasix and John Velazquez are added for this attempt.
3rd pick: #9 (Tappanzee) (10-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly when finishing 4.5 lengths in back of 'Short Pour' when debuting at Saratoga. Home bred worked very fast here Sept. 14 and must be left in the mix.
