2nd pick: #12 (The Sheik of Araby) (7-2) - Gelding rallied to finish second of 11, beaten a 1/2 length while 3 in front of 'Pirelli Tower' Aug. 29. It was his first since Dec. 22, first on the grass, and a career best. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Shamrock Kid) (5-1) - On the sidelines since Nov. 26, he finished 2nd at Aqueduct that afternoon racing at this level and distance. Training steadily he runs off a positive switch to the barn of Brad Cox (26% with new arrivals).
4th pick: #3 (Bad Guy) (8-1) - No-speed type has been competitive n four straight at this level and has finished second in two straight at Belmont. Stretch threat.
5th pick: #9 (Milardo) (8-1) - Arlington shipper runs for only the second time and does so following a trainer switch to Bob Falcone Jr. Gelding showed some talent in his debut and is capable of getting a share at a very big price.
