Top pick: #11 (Factual) - Lightly-raced son of "Forestry" appears to be getting his act together and will move back to the turf following a wide pace-chasing effort on the Gulfstream dirt April 8th. Previous start there was fine racing on the grass for $75K and draws a nice post for this trip. Dominguez is aboard so the barn likes this three-year-old's chances.
2nd pick: #3 (Annawon) - Gelding has some speed, is in the Mott barn, and ships in from Keeneland in shape. His four grass starts have been against tougher and he's a win threat today on the drop.
3rd pick: #2 (Departures) - Gelding rallied to finish second at Gulfstream in a 5-furlong sprint April 14th. Race was his first in 15 months and only the second of his career. Drops a bit, stretches-out in distance, and makes back to back starts for the first time. Contends today.
4th pick: #1 (Evenforever) - Deep closer ships up from Florida in shape and one of his best races ever came on this surface last June when he was beaten a neck racing at this price. Never tires and he's a big danger if he works out a trouble free trip from this inside post in a large field.
