2nd pick: #6 (Competitiveness) (7-2) - Very lightly-raced 3-year-old by 'Bodemeister' hit the gate at the break last out but recovered quickly to set a pressured pace. He tired late in what was his first off a Gary Gullo claim and a subsequent five month layoff. Gelding should be involved every step.
3rd pick: #5 (Refinance) (2-1) - On the sidelines since July 16 he finished a distant second hat day going a mile here for a $30,000 tag. Claimed that day by Linda Rice, she drops him down a bit while shortening him up in distance. New barn wins at a 32% rate off the claim and at a 26% clip off of long layoffs. An obvious contender at a short price.
4th pick: #8 (Micozzi) (8-1) - Longshot returns from a nine month layoff a NEW gelding. Three-year-old has a new trainer (Michelle Nevin) and she drops him into a claimer and is adding blinkers.
