Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (WIN FOR THE ZIPPER) - Trainer Jimmy Toner doesn't have a big stable but his is one of quality that do there best work on the grass. This gelding by "City Zip" has raced evenly in his first pair sprinting on the Belmont turf and he'll stretch him out in distance thi afternoon. Bet in both starts and think $70K 2-year-old purchase will show whatever he has in this spot.

2nd pick: #3 (Van Tassel) - Another who took money in his debut at Saratoga and this gelding from the first crop of "Corinthian" ran well after being "bumped" heavily at the start. He's been freshened-up for the past two months by trainer Graham Motion and the Englishman adds blinkers for this attempt.

3rd pick: #12 (Sleepy Freud) - Speedy home-bred by "Freud" stretches-out for trainer Linda Rice after showing speed in a pair of Belmont sprints. Has a tough post, but his speed is a big asset. Win threat.

4th pick: #11 (Sonnyandpally) - He set a "soft" pace last out and still tired late in a wild "blanket" finish. The Zito barn almost never wins on the turf, but this colt by "City Zip" must be left in the mix.
