Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (IT'S A LOVELY DAY) (8-5) - This $185,000 daughter of 'Flatter' stretches out to a mile while dropping from $50,000 down to race for $30K. She rallied to miss by just under a length going seven furlongs here Nov. 16, and trainer Chad Brown (28% on the distance increase) has her spotted to pick up her maiden win.
2nd pick: #5 (Tiztinabella) (6-1) - Even paced facing tougher on the Belmont grass Oct. 5, she races off a private trainer change to Michelle Nevin. The barn is having a good meet (13-4-3-0), and she drops this filly into a claimer while switching her to the dirt.
3rd pick: #3 (Flat Out Funky) (20-1) - Daughter of 'Flat Out' has tired in both sprints facing tougher, one each on turf and dirt. Trainer Dave Donk adds blinkers, stretches her out, and I think she can be competitive at a big price.
4th pick: #1 (Devil's Flair) (15-1) - Very wide last out, she finished 6.5 lengths behind 'It's a Lovely Day' going seven furlongs on a sloppy track Nov. 16. She worked well above average Dec. 8, has the rail today, and this filly gets a rider upgrade to Jose Lezcano.
