2nd pick: #3 (Undergroundregulatr) (5-2) - Speedy and lightly-raced gelding tired after setting a pressured paace at this tag and trip Nov. 22 in his first race since June 27. Fits, is in a great barn(Steve Asmussen), and looks set for a big effort.
3rd pick: #9 (Mason's Comprise) (6-1) - He's had a very good year out of town (11-5-2-1), has a stalking style, fits on "figures," and draws outside of the speed. Dangerous, and at a nice price.
4th pick: #4 (Sunshine Valentino) (5-1) - Finger Lakes invader has improved since being claimed by Chris Englehart in Feb., and he'll drop him down in class for this attempt. Can factor, but needs to do better for any shot at the win.
