She's won two in a row facing fellow New York breds including the $200K Maid of the Mist Stakes here going a mile Oct 19. The final time was a sharp 1:37 flat and she's been working fast since. Think she's dangerous at a big price.
3rd pick: #10 (Daphne Moon) (6-1) - The 2nd of the Englehart trained pair, $525,000 daughter of 'Cairo Prince' won her debut going 7 furlongs Aug 4 at Saratoga, then ran evenly after stumbling badly in the G1 Frizette Stakes going a mile at Belmont Oct 6. She's worked five times sine Nov 2 and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #11 (Water White) (12-1) - Grey filly is facing winners after breaking her maiden here by a 'head' going a mile Nov 15. Longshot had finished 2nd in her previous attempt and was only 1.5 lengths in back of 'Maedean' that afternoon. However, her outside post in this two-turn contest is a big negative and believe a minor award is her ceiling.
5th pick: #5 (Alandra) (5-1) - Home bred was a gutsy gate-to-wire maiden winner debuting at 7 furlongs Sep 1 at Saratoga. Sent to Keeneland for the G1 Alcibiades Stakes Oct 4, she rallied to finish a distant 3rd after a very troubled break. She worked fast Nov 3 and should factor with a clean getaway.
