Premium Pick

Top pick: #5 (MADAME JOHAR) - The probable favorite, she's (8-0-3-4) overall with each coming on the grass at this level. Home-bred has experience on this "tight" turf course and there's enough speed in here to help set up her strong late kick. Graduation day.

2nd pick: #11 (Flirtatious Spring) - Speedy filly comes off a pair of good efforts at Belmont racing at this level and distance and last out finished third while three lengths back of "Johar". She draws a tough outside post but has enough tactical speed to get some position before the first turn.

3rd pick: #3 (Marcy) - Stretch-out sprinter comes into this off a pair of back-to-back third-place finishes at Belmont going 6 furlongs and daughter of "Afleet Alex" draws near the inside. Saving ground on this course's tight turns is imperative and she has enough speed to be involved from start to finish.

4th pick: #10 (Mela Dramatically) - Her lack of speed isn't a plus, but she was only a neck off of "Johar" when they met at Saratoga on Sept. 1. Daughter of "Theatrical" would benefit greatly if the pace was fast/and or contested.
