Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (STAN THE MAN) (5-2) - Since breaking his maiden going a mile here last March, this speed/stalker has gone 5-3-1-0 with his only sub-par outing coming in the G1 Cigar Mile when he stumbled badly at the break. He was an easy winner going 9 furlongs here Jan. 13 and will be cutting back in distance while facing tougher. He likes it at Aqueduct 9-3-4-1 and has been sharp in all three tries on wet surfaces.
2nd pick: #4 (Solid Wager) (2-1) - This veteran Calif. bred rallied to win the Toboggan Stakes (G3) going 7 furlongs here Jan. 19. It was his first ever out of his home state of California and his first off a private trainer change to Chris Englehart. This 8yo has never won in 13 attempts at this distance but has been competitive a number of times.
3rd pick: #5 (Exulting) (6-1) - This lightly raced 6yo won a $150K 'off the turf' stakes here at this distance Nov. 10. Not as sharp in his follow up pair, he's working fast, has his blinkers removed, and Junior Alvarado, who is 2-for-3 on him is aboard for the first time since early August at Saratoga.
