3rd pick: #8 (Avast Matey) (8-1) - Longshot has some early speed and is training steadily for his first since he was claimed here Jan. 28 by Jeremiah Englehart for $16,000. 5yo has races in his past that make him a threat at a big price if repeatable. The presence of leading rider Manny Franco is noted.
