Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (PAX) - This maiden event features some well-bred individuals that are working fast and in solid barns. This colt by "Smarty Jones" has been working sharply for some time now, icluding a "bullet" drill from the gate going foour furlongs on Feb. 8, (best of 107 to work that distance that morning). In the barn of "Billy" Turner of "Seattle Slew" fame. The pick.

2nd pick: #3 (Driven By Saarland) - Son of the fine sire ("Saarland") has a lengthy work-tab on view. Some of the works are of the "quick" variety, and it's Ramon Dominguez riding for Bruce Levine, a 32% winning combination over the past 18 months.

3rd pick: #1 (Brook Dance) - Another debut runner, this one a Hobeau Farm home-bred. He's already five-years-old, and must have had some serious problems along the way. Draws the rail, and will need to break sharply.
