She had a tough outside post, was bumped at the break that afternoon, and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Water White) (7-2) - Grey filly switches to the grass after a solid pace setting 2nd place finish going a mile on the Belmont dirt Oct 5. She earned an excellent figure and it's noted thw winner scored again in her follow up start. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Aziza) (9-2) - Filly by 'Cairo Prince' raced very wide when finishing 3rd debuting at this distance Sep 28 at Belmont. She sold for $230K this past May as a 2yo in training and I like that John Velazquez stays aboard.
4th pick: #8 (Espressoandacheck) (5-1) - Debuting daughter of 'Medaglia d'Oro' has been in steady training here since late Sep for Jon Thomas. Trainer is 2 for 2 at the meet and his main rider, Javier Castellano is aboard. When teamed up in 2018-19 they've won with 16 of 65 (26%).
