Top pick: #5 (ALPHA ZUMBA) (9-5) - The probable favorite, he has the best "dirt" credentials of those that have run and will be taking a sizeable drop in class and stretching back out in distance. This past August he just missed at this trip at Monmouth when facing special weights and a repeat of that effort is all he needs.
2nd pick: #4 (Dendrite) (2-1) - His grass form is more than acceptable, but his one dirt effort( which came on this surface a year ago) was very poor. That said, he's training well on it and his trainer (Carlos Martin) sees fit to give him another shot.
3rd pick: #6 (Promised Destiny) (5-1) - No-speed type also has some decent turf form and this past summer at Saratoga he wasn't beaten by all that much when facing considerably better on the main track. He needs some pace help to make his deep closing tactics successful.
