Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #12 (LA NEGRITA) (9-2) - Filly moves back to the dirt following an even effort here at this distance sprinting on the grass Nov 15. She had finished a distant 2nd on the dirt here at this level Nov. 8 and I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Speed Talks) (8-1) - On the sidelines since Sept. 26, she raced evenly that afternoon facing tougher at Belmont. She has a fine series of works on view, drops back down, and trainer Gary Contessa is having a solid meet following a long winless streak.
3rd pick: #10 (Summer Belief) (5-1) - Blinkers are added and this home bred filly is dropping into a claimer for the first time. She has shown some speed in both stats facing tougher and must be left in he mix facing a weak field.
4th pick: #2 (Honey Bourbon) (8-1) - Filly showed nothing when debuting against tougher going 8.5 furlongs on the local turf Nov. 15. It's noted she had some betting support and that Castellano was aboard and she may do much better as she drops in class, switches to the dirt, shortens up in distance, and runs with blinkers on.
5th pick: #4 (Souper Twenty Seven) (4-1) - Daughter of 'Super Saver' finished 2nd in a field of four debuting at this tag and trip Oct. 12 at Belmont. Sent to the turf here Nov. 15, she was never involved after slipping at the break.
