Filly finished close up when debuting in a grass sprint at Belmont Oct. 24 and continues to work on the dirt. Trainer Chris Clement (22% second time out) stretches her out in distance (23%) and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #9 (Empress Sophia) (6-1) - She sold for $400,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2017 and has shown virtually nothing in four starts. However, she runs off a private trainer change to Todd Pletcher (27% with new arrivals) and he has John Velazquez. It's rare to get that combo at a square price and daughter of 'Bodemeister' may be competitive today.
3rd pick: #10 (Two Cent Tootsie) (4-1) - She finished second in an 'off the turf' contest at Belmont Oct 28. Daughter of 'Big Brow' has early speed, a good outside post, and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Wniifred J) (5-1) - Another with a bit of early speed, she has the rail and enters off a good third-place finish here on the grass Nov. 9. Home bred should be involved from gate to wire and has a shot with some improvement.
