Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (HEARTBUSTINGIRL) (3-1) - This home bred filly hasn't raced since finishing 2nd when debuting at this level going 5.5 furlongs Aug. 15 at Saratoga. She runs off a trainer change to Todd Pletcher (25% with new stock) and he has the red hot Manny Franco aboard.
2nd pick: #5 (Midnightsallright) (8-5) - This filly is very quick from the gate and is dropping into the claiming ranks for the first time. She tired here facing tougher Dec. 8 in her first start in two months after having finished second in her previous pair before the short break. Win candidate, I could have just as easily made her the top selection.
3rd pick: #1 (Margie Cat) (15-1) - Longshot has caught sloppy tracks in three straight starts that she may not have liked. Grey filly rallied to finish second the last time she caught a 'fast' surface and may get a slice of this at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Rattle the Stars) (6-1) - A home bred daughter of the solid 'Haynesfield' she raced both wide and evenly when finishing fourth when debuting here at this level on a sloppy surface Dec. 21. Trainer Steve Asmussen (22% second time out) is adding blinkers and this filly is another who may get a minor award.
