2nd pick: #6 (Science Fiction) (3-1) - One of two 4yos entered, she finished a pace setting 2nd here at this level and distance Nov. 18. She's racing third back following 4.5 months on the sidelines and should be involved from gate-to-wire.
3rd pick: #3 (Swift Vengeance) (9-2) - Daughter of 'Pioneer of the Nile' tired while having some traffic issues when debuting in early June at Laurel. Unraced since, trainer Linda Rice (28% second time out), drops her into a claimer (21%), and this $100K purchase should run much better this afternoon.
4th pick: #2 (Appreciate) (15-1) - Longshot moves from grass to dirt, shortens up in distance, and has blinkers on in her first race since Oct. 4. I believe a minor award at a square price is her ceiling.
