Top pick: #5 (RULE BY NIGHT) - Lightly raced son of "Malibu Moon" just missed last out in a $250K race at Philadelphia Park and is rounding into his best following a 2 1/2 month break earlier this year. He has a flexible style and that gives him an edge. Colt has a strong trainer/rider team in his corner as Asmussen and Dominguez win at a 37% clip when teamed-up.
2nd pick: #1 (Close to the Edge) - Much improved of late, his last two starts have been the best of his career. Another with a flexible style and he draws the rail. It's of note that John Velazquez is on this colt and not the Pletcher runner.
3rd pick: #7 (Sunrise Smarty) - Recent impressive maiden winner is very lightly raced, fast, and draws a nice post to "gun" from. The horse finished 2nd to him last out came back to win here yesterday. Dominguez "jumps ship" for the top pick.
