2nd pick: #1 (Elusive Fantasies) - Filly chased the pace and tired late to finish third on Jan. 20 at this level and distance. Effort came first off a Greg DiPrima claim and a subsequent six-week freshening. She draws the rail and is a threat.
3rd pick: #8 (Mindbender) - Claimed on New Year's Eve by Bob Barbara from Richard Dutrow for $20,000, filly runs back six weeks later for half that price. Speed/stalker fits and has a nice drill on Jan. 23. Can contend if fit.
