Top pick: #1 (DOWAGER) (6-5) - Beautifull-bred filly ships up from Gulfstream where she finished second after setting a quick and contested pace going 8.5 furlongs on Jan. 25. Daughter of "A.P. Indy" has a huge bullet half-mile breeze at Belmont on March 4th and is much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #2 (Mon Arch Lass ) (4-1) - She also comes north from Florida where she raced evenly from a tough putside post in a 5-furlong grass sprint on Jan. 17. Trainer Chad Brown (30% second time out) moves her to the dirt and stretches her out in distance.
3rd pick: #7 (Melody Lin) (15-1) - Longshot is the fields most experienced runner and once past the top two selections the rest are a "toss up." She races second off a Rich Schosberg claim and he'll move her up in class.
4th pick: #3 (Sylvia T) (9-2) - $100K filly by "Curlin" has finished second in two straight at this level and can factor, but will need to step it up to try and defeat "Dowager."
