Eric Cole vs. Brian Harman

Brian Harman brings the bigger resume, a major champion with a career highlight reel, but 2026 has been a grind. His strokes gained numbers sit well down the field this season, and while a tie for third at the 3M Open in July was a real result, it's the outlier on an otherwise thin ledger that left him fighting just to reach the top 70. Eric Cole has been the steadier player all year. His tee-to-green game grades out roughly even for the season, his putter has actually gained him strokes, and he arrives having qualified for the Playoffs with real room to spare rather than scrambling in on the number. TPC Southwind is not a course that hands out favors: narrow lines, small targets and water on eleven holes. A full season of solid, unspectacular ball-striking travels better here than one big week riding a hot putter. At close to even money, this is a matchup where the tour-long form gap is real, and the price hasn't caught up to it. Take Cole on the moneyline this week; a full season of steadier numbers is worth more than one week of hot short game, and I like this gap more than the price suggests.
