Hideki Matsuyama comes into Detroit off one of the best weeks of his year, finishing tied for third at last week's 3M Open. Ben Griffin has turned his own season around in a real way too, gaining strokes on approach in six straight starts and carding four rounds in the 60s at the Travelers not long ago, which makes this the harder side of the board to argue against on name value alone.
