The Washington State Cougars have really had a shortened season due to Covid-19. This will be their fourth and final game. Their game vs Cal last week was called off just 90 minutes before kickoff. First-year coach Nick Rolovich said that even if his team should win and get a Bowl bid, he will decline and send his kids home for the holidays, so this in fact becomes their Bowl game vs Utah (2-2). Utah may not be totally in focus this week. They played spoiler last week with a win over Colorado that kept the Buffaloes out of the Pac-12 Championship game. The seniors said this is the first year they are not playing in a Championship game, and it is different. That may say it all, as they are off a big win, and with nothing to play for, the motivation here is likely to be seriously lacking. Make the play on Washington State.

Washington State comes off one of the craziest games of all time blowing a 32-point third-quarter lead and losing 67-63 to UCLA. The Cougars obviously will pose the toughest test of the season for the Utes' defense and the Cougars have won and covered the last four meetings, including 28-24 last year as a 1.5-point underdog. Utah lost at USC 30-23 even while holding the Trojans to 13 rushing yards. Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley went 22-of-30 for 210 yards and a touchdown. Huntley is questionable for this game with a foot injury although he will likely play. The Cougars are 5-1 ATS over their last six road games and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
