UL Monroe Warhawks vs Wake Forest Demon Deacons Point Spread Picks

Both of these schools had disappointing campaigns in 2013. The Warhawks finished 6-6, but did not receive a Bowl bid. Wake Forest finished at just 4-8. It certainly looks like these teams have some room to grow, but little is expected on either side this season. These teams met a year ago, and Wake came up short in a 21-19 loss. The 19 points they scored may be hard pressed to achieve this season, as QB Tanner Price as well as most of the offensive unit from a year ago has moved on. The Demon Deacons return just three starters from their offensive unit from last year's squad. Wake also has a new coach, which means a new playbook, and add a new QB, which is not conducive for a lot of offensive success early on. LA Monroe is in a similar situation with star QB Kolton Browning gone, and just five returning starters on offense. These teams managed just 40 total points a year ago, and with both QBs and most of the offenses on both sides having moved on, they will be hard pressed to get over the number here. Play on the UNDER.
