UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns vs UL Monroe Warhawks

This is a huge rivalry game, and this season the UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns come in with a gaudy 9-2 record on the season. UL Monroe has improved off of last season's 2-10 finish and is 5-6. The Warhawks have held their own on defense, but the offense has been disappointing. They are averaging just 305 yards per game at just 5.3 yards per attempt. Louisiana has an elite passing attack that generates 9.2 yards per pass attempt. This game could get away from the Warhawks real fast, as Louisiana has quick-strike capability. UL Lafayette had its 15-game win streak snapped in a 33-21 loss at Rice, but the Ragin' Cajuns still are in much better shape than UL Monroe, which lost 63-7 at Alabama and the Warhawks are 5-20 since 2020. The Cajuns couldn't get a lot going offensively against Rice, but they'll have better luck this week as Monroe has allowed 122 points in three games and only covered the spread once and that was against FCS Nicholls State. UL Lafayette has used two quarterbacks this season with Chandler Fields completing 30 of 54 for 352 yards and six TDs and Ben Wooldridge is 25 of 38 for 313 yards and two TDs. UL Monroe is #121 in the country in total offense yards and #111 in passing yards. The Ragin' Cajuns have won the last four meetings and they are 7-3 ATS their past 10 following a loss overall and the road team is 18-3-1 ATS the past 22 meetings and the Cajuns are 9-1-1 ATS the past 11 meetings on the road. The Warhawks haven't played since Nov. 7 and the weeks off have been the bright spot of their season as they lost 52-34 to Georgia State on that day. Monroe is #93 in yards allowed while giving up 37.8 points per game. Lafayette averages 30.6 points and 201.5 rushing yards per contest. They racked up 254 yards on the ground on 37 carries and Levi Lewis completed 21 of 31 for 252 yards and three TDs with one interception.
