Tulane Green Wave vs Virginia Tech Hokies Point Spread Picks

Tulane had won 10 in a row before losing 26-14 to SMU in the American Athletic Conference championship game. Coach Willie Fritz left for the Houston job and his assistants will coach in the Military Bowl. Tulane won't have QB Michael Pratt as he is sitting it out to prepare for the NFL draft and Kai Horton and Justin Ibieta will both see action behind center. Horton threw for 485 yards and three TDs with two interceptions this season. The Green Wave will have running back Makhi Hughes, who rushed for 1,290 yards and seven TDs. Virginia Tech will be missing several key players, but sophomore QB Kyron Drones will be there and he has passed for 1,994 yards and 15 TDs. The Green Wave won't be strangers to bowl-game pressure after winning a thrilling Cotton Bowl last season 46-45 and scoring 16 points in the final four minutes to defeat USC. The Hokies barely made it to bowl-eligiblity with a 55-17 win over Virginia to finish with a 6-6 mark and they are 0-7 ATS after winning by at least 20 points. The Green Wave have covered four straight following a loss and have the motivation to finish the season on a high note similar to last year especially after losing to SMU.
