Just as Wake Forest appeared to be getting their football program turned around, they are 2-2 and have been the classic under-achieving team, as witnessed by their 0-4 ATS record. They have faced two pretty mediocre teams in FBS Towson, and Tulane, but have allowed over 400 yards to all four opponents. If that hasn't been bad enough, they have already put the ball on the ground eight times for two turnovers per contest. Rice won just one game last year, with an offense that averaged just 16.2 ppg. They have faced some high-octane offenses in Houston (52.2), Hawaii (41.6), and Southern  Mississippi (38.3), but have managed to cover two of the three. The difference is the brutal offense from a year ago which generated 26 ppg in these contests, and I don't think Wake Forest can score enough or hold them down enough to cover a huge inflated number.
