Neal Brown has a new QB and not a lot of experience coming into this season. The Mountaineers have not had a 7-win season in each of the last four years. I haven't seen anything yet from this team that makes them appear more competitive, in fact, the opposite may be true. Pittsburgh is on the upswing. The Panthers have won 20 games over the last two seasons, and prospects are good that they have another good season to add to that. West Virginia was manhandled by Penn St. 38-15 and the lack of depth showed as they allowed 17 points in the 4th quarter. I think for the same reason they will probably be in a competitive game this time, but the late-game issue will leave them coming up short. Make the play on Pittsburgh.
