If there was a question concerning Penn State's defense, it was answered last week as Michigan routed the Nittany Lions, 42-7, while racking up 403 total yards, including 259 on the ground on five yards per carry. What's even more troubling is Penn State's offense managed only 186 yards of offense, and Trace McSorley completed just 5-of-13 for 83 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Penn State has one win against decent competition this season and that was 30-24 over Iowa when the Hawkeyes missed several opportunities down the stretch to take the lead. Wisconsin comes off a 31-17 win over Rutgers while outgaining the Scarlet Knights 473-333 and holding them to 72 rushing yards on 2.8 yards per rush. Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook is questionable again with a head injury, so backup Jack Coan could start again. Coan was 20-of-31 for 158 yards and a touchdown against Northwestern two weeks ago, and he completed five of seven passes for 64 yards and a score in relief of Hornibrook last week. The Badgers are 12-3 ATS their last 15 road games and 8-1-1 ATS their last 10 November games. Penn State is 2-13-2 ATS its last 17 games after a loss and 1-4 ATS its last five games in November. Wisconsin is one of the best teams in the country from the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They are 9-2, losing to Ohio State by 7 and getting hosed at Arizona State by a bad call that cost them the game. I think if that call didn't go against them, and they had Ohio State at home this year instead of on the road, this might be an undefeated team with National Championship aspirations. Wisconsin has held seven teams to 10 points or less, and held high scoring Indiana out of the end-zone. Penn State has given up big points to big offenses this season, and they aren't good enough offensively to get much done here. The Badgers taking no prisoners at home where they are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27. The favorite is 8-0 ATS in this series in the last eight. Play is on Wisconsin.
