Houston Christian at North Texas

I had UNLV covering here two weeks ago and got buried. North Texas won 44-6 in the only game all year its defense has looked like that; in the other two games, it allowed 52 and 49. Houston Christian's season has been feast or famine: a 3-point dud against Rice sandwiched between an 88-point outburst and a 23-point showing last week against Incarnate Word, but this is a defense on the other side that's proven it can be beaten by a team playing with any rhythm at all. Between these two teams' combined seven games this season, the totals have mostly landed in the 50s, 60s, and 80s, well north of tonight's number. North Texas's own offense has scored at least 35 in two of its three games, and a defense that's leaked points at this rate all year doesn't figure to be the difference tonight. Back the OVER tonight.
