Hawaii at Wyoming

Wyoming's own coordinator is sticking with Tyler Hughes at quarterback even though he's been responsible for seven of the team's eight turnovers this season, five interceptions alone, and that kind of quarterback play means extra possessions and shorter fields for whichever defense benefits. Hawaii's defense hasn't been good enough to turn those into stops, allowing at least 19 points in every game it's played, including 37 in its opener at Stanford. On the other side, Wyoming's defense has given up at least 24 points twice already, and Wyoming just piled up 145 yards in the fourth quarter alone against Central Michigan even in a losing effort, showing this offense can find a rhythm once it settles in. Wyoming is also breaking in a new starting center after losing Jason Maciejczak for the season, the kind of line shakeup that tends to produce exactly the shorter fields and extra possessions both defenses have already struggled to cash in on. Neither team is walking in with a defense that's shown it can consistently get stops, and a turnover-prone quarterback tends to add points for the other side more often than it subtracts them. Back the OVER this afternoon.
